Bruce & Frankee Muller have been innkeepers since 1989 when they purchased the Voss Inn bed and breakfast in Bozeman, MT. After a few years of trying to sell the Voss Inn as a bed and breafast to no avail, they decided to close the inn on June 15, 2018. They have moved to North Caroline where they intend to continue innkeeping as professional innsitters, operating Frankee's ecommerce tea business and traveling.
Bruce and Frankee have always loved the business of innkeeping. Their decision to sell the Voss Inn was a difficult and multi-faceted one. Bruce in particular was tired of the extreme climate of Montana, especially the long cold winters, and wanted to move to a more agreeable climate. They found that in their new home in Oriental, North Carolina.
In 2010 Frankee became an ITMA Certified Tea Master and started her own ecommerce tea business, A Thirst for Tea, which she operated out of the bed and breakfast. Although she still loves innkeeping and the Voss Inn, she looks forward to the opportunity to travel internationally to meet the tea growers she works with around the world.
Working as interim innkeepers provides the Mullers with everything they could want. They live in a warm and beautiful part of the country and they can pursue the work they continue to love without being tied down to one place. Between innsitting jobs they look forward to traveling to China, Japan, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Malawi to meet the tea growers they work with at A Thirst for Tea.
Bruce and Frankee's area of expertise is varied and large. After 29 years owning and operating their own B&B, they are fully aware of the demands, responsibilities, tasks and intricacies of the hospitality industry. Trip Advisor reviews will attest to that! Both Bruce and Frankee love to cook and are accomplished at preparing and serving breakfast to a full house. (Frankee's cinnamon rolls were featured in an issue of Gourmet Magazines!) Adapting recipes on the fly to accommodate guest's personal needs is no problem. Both Bruce and Frankee are meticulous about detail in breakfast preparation and in how the inn presents itself to guests. Afternoon Tea was served daily to guests at the Voss Inn, an event that was right up Frankee's ally as an ITMA Certified Tea Master. Bruce is adept at the daily upkeep and maintenance of a bed and breakfast. For 29 years Frankee worked tirelessly creating and maintaining the garden that surrounds the Voss Inn.
